Insta Date Fixer 360 1.7 Released - Fix for Incorrect Insta360 1970-01-01 Date

Insta Date Fixer 360 1.7 is now available for download from the Mac App Store!

This release is a fix for Insta360 users who are seeing their videos getting recovered with a date of 1970-01-01. This occurs for certain versions of Insta360 Studio that appear to be exporting incorrect EXIF metadata for the creation date.

If you are seeing the 1970-01-01 date as the recovery date in Insta Date Fixer 360, check the “Parse From Filename” checkbox, which will use the special Insta Date Fixer 360 filename format for obtaining the creation date.

NOTE: For this to work, you’ll need to use the default naming scheme when exporting from Insta360 Studio (VID_20230809_092329_00_002.mp4 or IMG_20230809_092329_00_002.jpg).
